Vilanova i la Geltrú has participated this morning in the presentation of the 5G Penedès Area, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, through the Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration, and framed within the 5G Strategy of Catalonia . It is a project that has the involvement of Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the i2CAT Foundation, the Barcelona Provincial Council, Igualada City Council, Vilanova i la Geltrú City Council, TICAnoia, Neàpolis and Telefónica.
The “Vilanova” mobile phone application incorporates the “Today we don’t cook at home” campaign, in support of restaurants. From the App it is possible to consult the list of bars and restaurants in the city that have home delivery or takeaway service and contact the place chosen to place the order. In a comfortable and agile way, using common tools in our daily lives such as Whatsapp or web booking, it is possible to place orders.
Neàpolis will once again be, between 7 and 21 June, one of the headquarters of the MWC with activities to bring technology closer to the public.
